All University System of Georgia (USG) students, including those from Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) and incoming students, now have access to COVID-19 vaccination sites on 15 campuses statewide regardless of which institution they attend. This expanded vaccine access means that students can now get their first and second doses over the summer at a campus nearest them. This includes students who may have gotten their first dose at Georgia Southwestern or in Sumter County before heading home for the summer.
To schedule an appointment, please visit www.usg.edu/vaccination to locate the nearest USG vaccination site. In addition to these 15 USG campus vaccination sites, students may also locate additional community vaccination sites through the CDC's vaccination locator.
The USG strongly encourages all faculty, staff, students and visitors to get vaccinated, although it is not mandatory. Getting vaccinated is an individual decision and not required to be a part of any campus.
