GSW suspends face-to-face instruction for two weeks

(Updated March 13, 2020) Only face-to-face instruction has been suspended until March 30, 2020. All GSW online courses, e-Major courses, and e-Core courses will continue as normal.

After receiving new guidance from the Governor’s Coronavirus Task Force and Department of Public Health, the University System of Georgia has directed GSW to suspend instruction for two weeks effective Monday, March 16, 2020. This two-week window will allow us to test our business continuity plans and develop online instruction modules for all courses.

Students are encouraged to leave campus Friday, March 13 and not return to campus until Sunday, March 29. For students who are unable to leave campus, we are currently working on student services logistics. Please note, students are NOT being asked to move out of their residence halls for the remainder of the semester.

We ask that you please be patient with us as we work through these details. Additional information will be coming soon.

Instruction is scheduled to resume Monday, March 30.

As a reminder, we would like to stress the importance of following the preventative measures recommended by the CDC. Links to their site and further GSW updates can be found at www.gsw.edu/coronavirus.
