Living at Georgia Southwestern offers students a complete on-campus college experience. A variety of residence hall options including suites and apartments are available to fit the needs of all students. Our small campus size allows students to build a sense of community amongst peers while learning beyond the classroom walls. There are no community bathrooms within our housing and no longer any traditional style halls, so you can rest assure that life on campus will be exceptional.

Applying for Housing
Students applying for housing online must be accepted students. Upon acceptance, students will receive CanesNet credentials to log in to the housing application portal.

Choose Your Roommate

If you're wanting to choose your roommate(s), residents have the ability to create a Roommate Group in the Housing Application to request specific residents to share housing. By selecting "Roommate Group," one person can create a group and become the group leader. Once created, the Group Leader will need a group name and password. This information can then be shared with the individual(s) they wish to live with, and then selected in their respective application by selecting "Join Group" and inputting the group name and password. The group leader will need to accept requested roommate(s) in order to complete the process.

Please remember only groups of 2 and 4 will be permitted to live together.

FAQ

How do I get a parking permit?

After your tuition has been paid, you can pick up your parking permit at the Office of Public Safety.

What does my residence hall provide, and what should I pack?

Packing is always stressful. We have compiled a list of recommended items to make you feel more at home in your residence hall.

Residence Halls are also now offering free laundry services to on-campus students.

How do I change rooms or transfer halls?

If a vacancy exists and your reason is legitimate, a room change may be granted. Start the process by talking to your RA.

Where can I eat on campus?

GSW has several locations where students can purchase meals. In addition to the cafeteriaCafe Campesino coffee shop and a campus convenience store are located in the Marshall Student Center. Also, GSW houses a Chick-fil-A in the Student Success Center, and our new food truck, Surge's Street Eats, makes appearances for student events and special occasions.
