Winter Weather

GSW is closely monitoring the potential winter weather system that may pass through Georgia early next week. Given the considerable amount of uncertainty with this weather system, we will continue to work closely with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) and the National Weather Service as we consider any decisions related to modified University operations. Should there be any changes to our regular schedule, we will notify you by Monday afternoon via email, social media and GSW’s website.

The Student Government Association (SGA) of Georgia Southwestern State University exists to represent the interests of the student body. Elections are held each spring. Throughout the year, SGA sponsors a number of events intended to benefit the campus and community. We assist in the funding of several organizations on campus and, ultimately, are here to serve the student body.

We the students of Georgia Southwestern State University, in order to promote a college wide atmosphere for intellectual growth, high standards of conduct, university spirit; to stimulate common understanding and cooperation between the students and faculty/administration; to protect the right and principles of the individual standards; and to govern the student body, do establish and submit the constitution.
