AMERICUS (July 24, 2015) – Georgia Southwestern State University has recently ranked 11th on the 50 Most Affordable Small Colleges for an HR Degree 2015 list assembled by humanresourcesmba.net. Georgia Southwestern was one of only two Georgia colleges that made the list, ranking ahead of Brenau University.

AMERICUS (July 21, 2015) – The Chattahoochee-Flint RESA Educational Technology Center (ETC) along with the Georgia Southwestern Department of Theater, Communication and Media Arts (TCMA) produced the 11th annual Georgia Movie Academy (GMA) awards at the Rylander Theater earlier this year. The GMA theme was “Communicate.”
AMERICUS (July 13, 2015)—The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving’s (RCI) Operation Family Caregiver (OFC) will pilot a new volunteer program thanks to funding from the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation and a new partnership with Blue Star Families, the largest chapter-based, volunteer, military family engagement organization in the nation. Training will commence for OFC coaches in fall 2015, with service to military families, done both in person and via SKYPE, beginning as early as December.

AMERICUS (May 29, 2015)—Paula Bryant, senior lecturer in the Georgia Southwestern State University School of Nursing, is the recipient of the inaugural William B. King Faculty Scholar Award for nursing faculty. The award comes with a $9,000 stipend distributed evenly over three years.
