The suspect in the Americus shooting is still at large; however, Georgia Southwestern academic and administrative buildings have been released. The GSW Pre-K will be closed on Dec. 8. Most students today are completing their FAFSAs online. It only takes a little preparation and a few minutes online to complete the process. The Office of Financial Aid will receive your Student Aid Report within 72 hours and notify you of the status of your financial aid application.
Create a NEW FSA ID at https://fsaid.ed.gov. The student, and if applicable, a parent must apply for individual FSA ID.
Go to https://fafsa.ed.gov. If you are a NEW STUDENT, you will click on "Start A New FAFSA". If you are a RETURNING STUDENT, you will login under Returning User. Login with your FSA ID Username and FSA ID Password.
Sign your FAFSA by using your FSA ID and FSA Password.
NOTE: If no FSA ID and FSA Password is used and the signature page is not printed and submitted, the Central Processor will hold your application for two weeks and then mail you a rejected Student Aid Report (SAR). This will significantly delay the application process.
