The mission of the Office of Teaching & Learning is to provide faculty with opportunities for development so that they may continue to investigate pedagogical strategies, discuss and debate issues relative to the scholarship of teaching and learning, and pursue areas research interests within their disciplines. Faculty Development at GSW takes a few different forms, including teaching circles, workshops, and faculty development grants. Teaching circles enable faculty from a variety of disciplines to meet and share ideas about best practices of teaching and scholarship. Slightly more formal, workshops present faculty with ways to improve their teaching. Faculty development grants support faculty research across the university.
