The Post Master's Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate is designed for those seeking FNP certification that already hold a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN).
The focus of the Family Nurse Practitioner certificate program is to provide specialized academic knowledge and clinical skills necessary for health promotion, disease prevention, assessment, and management of common acute and chronic illnesses. As more patients seek out personalized care, nurse practitioners devote their time to preventative care, counseling patients on self-management and generally taking a holistic approach. The FNP certificate allows nurses to diagnose patient illness and conditions, educate and counsel patients, and prescribe medication.
