Why did you choose to attend GSW?
I chose to attend GSW because I grew up down here visiting my grandma. As soon as I set foot on campus it gave me that same feeling of home from when I would visit her, and I knew this was where I needed to go.

What’s your favorite spot on campus and why?
My favorite spot on campus is the pine trees next to the golf course. I love to take my hammock out there and watch the train go by and soak in my surroundings whenever I have the time.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
Something people would be surprised to know about me I’d that I’m an introvert. I have no problem being extroverted when I need to be, but I much prefer to sit quietly on the couch with my dog and read a book!

What advice do you have for incoming students?
Make sure you learn how to study and don't be afraid to ask for help and say no when you need to. It can be very overwhelming when you are trying to meet new people, get involved on campus, and keep up with classes. So I would say to make sure you find your voice and speak out about what you need.

Tell us more about something you’re involved with on campus.
On campus, I am a member of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM). Within BCM I help lead a women's small group and work together with other student leaders to execute fellowship events, outreaches, and attend Preview and Storm Days. BCM's mission is to "Reach, Teach, Send." We strive to reach other students, faculty, and staff on campus and teach them more about Christ and His love for them, and then hopefully send them out to do the same.

What is your favorite class and why?
My favorite classes so far has been both of my English classes with Ms. Kay Sassi. She is such an amazing professor; she does whatever she can to make sure you succeed inside and outside of her class. She has some pretty awesome shoes, too!

What is your favorite series to binge watch? Why?
My favorite series to binge-watch is Criminal Minds. My older sister introduced me to it a while ago, and that is one of the ways we were able to become closer is by watching Criminal Minds together. So now I watch Criminal Minds almost all the time! It is almost always playing in the background when I'm in my dorm.
