Why did you choose to attend GSW?
Coming from a close-knit family, I really love how the community at GSW and in Americus resembles that. At GSW, I am able to make connections that are beneficial and lasting during college and in my post-college career.
Please list your University highlights, achievements, leadership and awards.
Why did you choose your major?
The geriatric and disabled populations in the United States and rural Georgia are underrepresented. My goal is to advocate for the population so they can get the support and resources that they need to thrive.
What is your plan after graduation?
My plan is to take a gap year to gain more experience in my field. After my gap year, I plan on obtaining my master’s degree in human resources or in social work.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I love to indulge in old and new history! History is an interesting subject, and there’s so much to learn from it.
What has been your greatest challenge?
Being a full time student during the COVID pandemic. Life changed in an instant in Spring 2020.
What is your favorite place to eat, shop, or hang out in Americus?
The 1800 Mexican Restaurant is my absolute favorite restaurant in Americus. I’ve never been disappointed with the selection there. I’ve even had friends and family from back home try them out and they loved it!
If you had a time machine, when/where would you travel? Why?
I would travel back to the 1980s to the music scene. Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, and Whitney Houston are legendary, and I would love to have listened their albums when they first released during that time.
