Campus computing policy in support of Board of Regents policy is developed within the GSW IIT department and submitted to the President's Cabinet by the Chief Information Officer. Georgia Southwestern State University Campus Computer Policy is approved by the President's Cabinet.

Computer usage policy is documented in the "GSW Computer and Network Usage Policy".

The computer usage policy was approved by the President's Cabinet on September 16, 2014.

Campus web policy is documented in the "GSW Web Policy".

Establishing IT Standards, Procedures, and Guidelines

GSW IT standards, procedures, and guidelines in support of approved campus policy are developed within the GSW IIT department. Information Technology standards are approved by the Chief Information Officer. Draft procedures and guidelines are developed, reviewed, and updated by the involved parties in the department and may be put into practice without CIO approval.
