Georgia Southwestern offers an Emergency Notification Center through Blackboard Connect to keep you better informed in the event of severe weather and campus emergencies or closings. This notification center will allow us to reach you directly by sending a text message or call to phone numbers that you provide. Follow the instructions below to add or update your phone numbers as soon as possible so that you can be alerted to any emergency situation that affects our campus. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate.
Students must register each semester to receive emergency messages from GSW. Please follow the instructions below to sign up for emergency notifications.
Login to RAIN and click "GSW Notification System."
Enter the phone number(s) where you wish to receive alerts. You can also add a number to receive text message alerts. Once all desired phone numbers have been entered, check the box stating that the numbers are correct and click "Submit Notification Number(s)."
If you do not wish to receive emergency alerts from GSW, you may check the second box to opt out of emergency alerts.
