Why is the Canes Card so important?
In addition to the Canes Card being efficient, the Canes Card allows on campus transactions to go so much faster. The Canes Card gives you access to bookstore purchases, allows you to use your card as a debit for on-campus/off campus transactions, keeps record of and allows you to spend your Canes Cash in the Chick-fil-A/Boar's Head Deli, POD, and Higher Grounds. It also serves as your Student ID, and gives you access to your residence hall.
Can I keep track of my account activity just as I could with a real debit card?
Yes! It’s very simple to keep track of all account activity- purchases and withdrawals by logging on to www.moneynetworkedu.com and creating an account. Once your account is created, you will be able to see all account activity, pending transactions, and any withdrawals made.
Can I make online purchases with the Canes Card?
Of course. The Canes Card works just like any debit card would. When making online purchases, simply enter your information just as you would when making any purchase online. It’s quick, easy, and most of all, every transaction made is safe and secure.
How can I get my refunds on my Canes Card?
To get your refund on your Canes Card, stop by the Canes Card office located in the Marshall Student Center, and fill out the consent form requesting that your refund be issued on the Canes Card instead of a paper check. We will process your request and your refund will go to your Canes Card. It’s just that simple!
What are the Money Network checks for that were in the packet I received?
Money Network checks are used when you want to take the money off your card instead of withdrawing it from the ATM. Since the ATM has withdrawal limits of $500 per day, you can write yourself a check for the amount you desire to take off your card, call the number on the back of your card to access your account, select the MONEY NETWORK CHECK option, enter your check number in the box marked digit, and enter the amount you wrote the check for. You will then be given a ISSUER NUMBER and a TRANSACTION NUMBER. Once filled out, you can take the check to any Wal-mart location and get the check cashed at the customer service desk.
If I lose my card, what do I do?
If you lose your card, come by the Canes Card office, bring your driver’s license, or a state-issued ID, and we will issue you another one, with all of your information, which will deactivate your old one. In 24-hours, call the number on the back of your card and activate your Money Network account by following the system’s prompts.
Can I use my Canes Card as a form of direct deposit?
Yes, you can. After receiving the Direct Deposit form from your place of employment, simply contact Money Network, and follow the prompts to speak with a Customer Service Representative. Tell the representative that you want to use the Money Network card as a form of direct deposit. The representative should provide you with all of your account information to complete the direct deposit form. After you complete the form, take the form back to your employer for processing.
