The Mend Exhibition represents the collected efforts of students and teachers on four continents and more than a dozen schools within the United States. This collection demonstrates the use of art as a voice and shows student accomplishments during the pandemic.
The artists represented in this exhibition are making use of this fruitful space, with works ranging from neo formalism to collage to video. Art as an arena for aesthetic experience and discourse provides an effective point of engagement with these ideas. It is the broadness of the theory, coupled with the practice of separating the meaningful from the inconsequential, that this exhibition explores.
The glass program began to take shape on campus in the 1970's when Ralph Harvey brought it to light in Crawford Wheatley Hall.
