Concentration in

Digital Arts

The Digital Arts concentration offers students a broad technical foundation in the production of artwork made with the aid of the computer and software. Within this concentration, an emphasis is placed on software tools that enable students to experiment with a variety of outputs such as inkjet printing, digital video, 2D illustration, bookmaking, and 3D graphics and printing.

Curriculum

Students in the Digital Arts curriculum become responsible image and object makers through critical readings, active studio practice, and discussions of both artwork and ideas.  In this field, it is important to recognize and respond quickly to advancements in the field.  Introduction to core principles through industry standard software and output methods make it easy for students to scale these skills up or down for use in industrial applications or smaller scale projects.  Collaboration through both teams and output strategies make this concept concrete.
