How to Apply

2

Submit Transient Permission

Request an official Letter of Transient Permission from your current institution. Submit online by choosing "Transient" as program and attaching permission letter. Please use the same credentials use for your application to sign in if prompted.

You can review what information is needed and what documents have been received by checking your status online. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing of each submission.

Once Accepted

Make sure to complete the following items before you can begin registering for classes:

  • Contact your home institution to find out about your financial aid options.
  • Beginning on the advertised dates, admitted students will be able to register for classes. You will need the course name and CRN number which can be found by referring to our class schedule. Detailed registration information will be mailed to admitted students prior to their registration date. You must be accepted to Georgia Southwestern before you can register for classes. Please note that admission to Georgia Southwestern does not guarantee registration for specific classes. New and continuing GSW students have priority registration.
  • Read and submit the Financial Agreement Authorization.
  • Submit proof of Lawful Presence if you plan to receive in-state tuition. Online only students and students paying out-of-state tuition are not required to submit this documentation.
