Tuition Assistance & Reimbursement Programs

Many companies offer employees different forms of tuition assistance, grants, or reimbursement for their graduate studies.

The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides grants up to $4,000 a year to graduate students in the process of completing or planning to complete a degree or courses necessary to begin a career in teaching. Check with your school and desired program to make sure you meet the requirements

Tuition reimbursement is an employee benefit through which an employer pays for a pre-determined amount of continuing education credits or college coursework to be applied toward a degree. These programs are intended for employees looking to advance their education as it relates to their current career track, offering the chance to increase their industry knowledge and develop advanced skills. Check with your human resources office to see if your company participates in tuition reimbursement.

TAP is a supplemental educational assistance employee program offered through the University System of Georgia. An employee who is eligible for any type of grant, scholarship or financial aid must apply their money toward tuition and fees before receiving a TAP waiver. Please contact your home institution's human resource office or TAP coordinator for more information.
