TRiO Logo

The GSW TRiO Student Support Services program (SSS) is an academic support/resource entity focusing on creating a partnership to enhance the college experience of first-generation students/students who are from a background of financial need and students with documented disabilities. The programming also incorporates cultural awareness, financial literacy, and personal development among our services. The GSW TRiO/SSS Program is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education;to support the mission of increasing retention and graduation rates of first-generation/low-wealth students at 2-year and 4-year colleges and universities. The TRiO programs were established to assist college bound and college entering students in overcoming class, social, academic, and cultural barriers to higher education. Each program targets various student populations and often work in conjunction with one another to support students through various stages of their academic experiences. A full description of each TRiO program may be found on the Council for Opportunity in Education Website. We invite you to learn more by clicking on any tab to the left.  Thanks for visiting our page and let us know if we can be of assistance.
