Supplemental Instruction (SI)
Many instructors choose to provide extra study opportunities for their classes. SI is organized and taught by student leaders who have achieved an "A" or "B" in the class previously and have experience with both the instructor and the material. SI leaders will make an announcement in class and hand out information within the first few class meetings if SI is offered for your course. Always check our SI Schedule to see if your class is included, as the schedule changes every semester.
Peer tutoring is the practice of giving individual, or in some cases, small group instruction with the purpose of helping students not only grasp the material, but become independent learners by learning study skills and developing good study habits. Peer tutors are students who have successfully taken and passed the course with an A or B and exhibit a thorough understanding of the material. Getting a tutor is easy! You simply complete this on-line Tutor Request Form. The Tutor Coordinator will contact you within 24-hours.
