The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning facilitates university-wide assessment and planning. Specifically, the office coordinates compliance with the accreditation requirements of the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC), with federal regulations, and with University System of Georgia (USG) requirements and initiatives.
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning works with vice presidents, deans, directors, chairs, and faculty to facilitate and coordinate outcomes assessment of all academic units and programs, as well as student support services across campus, consults with the Director of Institutional Research on collection and circulation of assessment data, and generally facilitates the strategic planning process. The Director sits on the Deans’ and Directors’ Council and the President’s Advisory Council, and is an ex-officio member of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee.
