Our Accreditations
The College of Business and Computing maintains its business accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.
COBAC has some of the most recognized and top-ranked programs not only in the state, but in the nation. In addition to being named one of the 2019 Top 10 Best Business Programs in America, other popular accolades received each year include "most affordable," "best value" and "best online degree programs." The AACSB accreditation is additionally valuable to COBAC's online programs because it shows students the online programs meet the same strict standards as on-campus programs.
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.
Developed by technical professionals from ABET’s member societies, ABET criteria focus on what students experience and learn. ABET accreditation reviews look at program curricula, faculty, facilities, and institutional support and are conducted by teams of highly skilled professionals from industry, academia and government, with expertise in the ABET disciplines.
ABET is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization with ISO 9001:2015 certification. It currently accredits 4,564 programs at 895 colleges and universities in 40 countries and areas.

Georgia Southwestern internships provide opportunities for students to gain experience in their field, determine if they have an interest in a particular career, and create a network of contacts. An internship may be either paid, unpaid or partially paid (in the form of a stipend). Our internship program is designed to complement a student's formal education with practical work experience. The internships are single-semester, major-related, full-time or part-time work experiences that help students better understand the "real world" applications of their academic studies.
