Georgia Power Foundation supports

             Education energy--Mike Donnelly, right, and Jay Roberts of Georgia Power Company in Americus, recently presented a check to Georgia Southwestern State University from the Georgia Power Foundation. Georgia Southwestern President Kendall Blanchard, center, is pictured above accepting the gift to the University's Annual Fund. Georgia Power is the largest subsidiary of Southern Company, one of the nation's largest generators of electricity. Georgia Power is also an investor-owned, tax-paying utility with rates well below the national average. Georgia Power serves 2.3 million customers in all but four of Georgia's 159 counties. The Georgia Power Foundation is a consistent and generous supporter of Georgia Southwestern.
