GSW Foundation re-elects trustees

 

AMERICUS—The Georgia Southwestern Foundation, Inc. held its fall full board meeting recently, and the Board of Trustees re-elected three current members to the 36 member group: Emory F. Parker, Jr., George H. Pritchard and Neil D. Suggs. Nominated and elected by their peers, the trustees provide external oversight to the Foundation’s operations.

Parker is the vice president of PeoplesSouth Bank in Americus and is a past chairman of the Foundation Board of Trustees. He graduated from Georgia Southwestern in 1984 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and earned a degree from the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking in 1998. Parker and his wife, Lynde, have two children: Tripp and Sara Cathryn

Pritchard is retired from the London Agency in Atlanta and serves as vice president of the FBC Corporation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in history from Georgia Southwestern in 1973 and his Juris Doctor from Woodrow Wilson Law School in Atlanta.  Pritchard and his wife, Linda, have one son: Seth.

Suggs is the owner and president of Marble Masters in Warner Robins. He earned a Bachelor of Science in history from GSW in 1977. Suggs also serves on the Museum of Aviation Board of Trustees and is the immediate past chairman of the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce. Suggs and his wife, Kara, have two children: Schafer and Parker.

The Foundation provides funds for Georgia Southwestern State University and manages assets and gift accounts for the University. The Foundation’s purpose is to promote in various ways the cause of higher education in the state of Georgia, with particular emphasis on the development of Georgia Southwestern State University.
