GSW Alumni Luncheon Feb. 13

Dr. Kevin Moye '88 to speak      

            AMERICUS—ATTENTION GSW ALUMNI: Georgia Southwestern State University is hosting the annual Alumni Homecoming Lunch Saturday, Feb. 13 at 11:30 a.m. in the newly restored Wheatley Assembly Hall.

            Former Hurricane baseball great and Hall of Fame inductee, Kevin Moye, M.D., is the featured speaker. Moye is a physician at Loganville Medical Center.

Moye earned a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southwestern, a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in outcomes research at the Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education at UAB.

            The Alumni Weekend schedule is as follows:

Saturday, Feb. 13

·        11 a.m., Alumni Scholarship Silent Auction, Wheatley Assembly Hall

·        11:30 a.m., Alumni Homecoming Luncheon and Awards Ceremony, Wheatley Assembly Hall

·        5:30 & 7:30 p.m., Men’s and Women’s Hurricane Basketball vs. Flagler, Storm Dome

Cost for the luncheon is $25.
