Southwest Georgia Writing Project offers Saturday seminars for area educators beginning Nov. 6AMERICUS—The Southwest Georgia Writing Project (SWGWP) is announcing its 2004-05 Super Saturday Specials series for K-12 educators in Southwest Georgia. The series will provide educators across the curriculum and at all grade levels with a taste of what SWGWP offers each summer through its intensive Institutes. The Series offers diverse workshops, all of which are located in the English Building on the campus of Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus. The workshops are as follows:
All sessions begin at 9 a.m. The series offers two Professional Learning Units; one Professional Learning Unit is available for attendance at any two of the sessions. In addition, participants in the Nov. 6 workshop in Grant Writing have the opportunity to compete for professional learning community grants of up to $200. The cost of the series is $75, or $30 for individual sessions. An additional $15 will be charged for PLU credit.
