Mission Statement

The University Relations Division of Georgia Southwestern State University supports and enhances the programs and activities of the other divisions of the institution through its functions of development (fundraising, tracking and acknowledging gifts, and cultivating potential donors), public relations (communicating with media, the public, alumni, and area leadership externally and faculty, staff, and students internally), and special events (fundraisers, alumni receptions, Homecoming, 21st Century Leadership Award Gala, and other programs). The staff seeks to accomplish this mission in an ethical, caring, courteous, and efficient manner.
