Interests: “My life is mostly surrounded by establishing a relationship with God. He is the central focus of my life and everything I do is motivated by Him. I enjoy using my spare time giving back and being a light to others. The mentoring and tutoring program for children is another main goal that I contribute most of my time towards. I enjoy doing creative designs and thinking of great and innovative ideas and of course spending time with family and friends.”

Interests: “I live for a life filled with God in every step and around every corner. I love to have fun, with friends, family and whoever decides to have a good time with me. Laughing is something I do often and it tends to be extremely contagious. Beside these things I like to sew, pamper people, and listen to poetry and attempt to sing.”

Message: “GSW is an awesome college with great opportunities for students to advance and the best thing is that all we have to do is get involved. I love the people and atmosphere here and with dedicated students and a helpful faculty and staff growth is sure to come. Life can be beautiful but always short and the decisions we make determine the live we live so I want to encourage you to chose to live and make decision that are conducive to just that. Interests and Goals: “I enjoy the campus of Georgia Southwestern State University and look forward in leaving and impacting this campus in a positive and more constructive place. I have always been interested in the field of technology and the world of computers. My field of Technology is somewhat I think unique and interesting. The campuses of Georgia Southwestern have reminded me so much of my country Jamaica because of the amount of trees and the big landscaping. I hope and pray with God to do exceptionally well in my major and continue to strive for the best and work hard in things I am to do. My goal is to always stay focused on God and continue to walk in his ways. Advisor Chief Oris Bryant

Hometown: Thomasville, Georgia

Advisor Amy M. Porter, Ph.D.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, I earned by B.A. in Spanish and History from Austin College, and I earned my Ph.D. in American History from Southern Methodist University. As a faculty advisor to the Student Government Association, I help the students to accomplish their goals and to become effective leaders. Their success makes Georgia Southwestern a better university. As an Assistant Professor of History, I teach the United StatesHhistory survey courses and upper level United States History courses. I also serve as Co-Director of the Women Studies Certificate program.

Advisor LaKeshia Jackson

I am an alumnus of GSW with a bachelor in Marketing and a MBA in Management. I am in my second year as the Director of Residence Life. In this role I serve as the supervisor of all campus housing. I also serve as the co-advisor of CAB and SGA. In my free time I love shopping, reading, and hanging out. My favorite quote is 3 will keep a secret if 2 of them are dead.
