Vice President of Student Affairs Allison Sterling Hometown: Jamaica Major: Business Marketing Involvement: Public Relations for Resident Hall Association, Campus Activities Board Volunteer, Student Government Association. Interests: “My life is mostly surrounded by establishing a relationship with God. He is the central focus of my life and everything I do is motivated by Him. I enjoy using my spare time giving back and being a light to others. The mentoring and tutoring program for children is another main goal that I contribute most of my time towards. I enjoy doing creative designs and thinking of great and innovative ideas and of course spending time with family and friends.” Goal: “GSW is a warm and inviting campus. I love to have fun, with friends, family and whoever decides to have a good time with me. Laughing is something I do often and it tends to be extremely contagious. Advisor Amy M. Porter, Ph.D. Originally from Dallas, Texas, I earned by B.A. in Spanish and History from Austin College, and I earned my Ph.D. in American History from Southern Methodist University. As a faculty advisor to the Student Government Association, I help the students to accomplish their goals and to become effective leaders. Their success makes Georgia Southwestern a better university. As an Assistant Professor of History, I teach the United StatesHhistory survey courses and upper level United States History courses. I also serve as Co-Director of the Women Studies Certificate program. |

Advisor LaKeshia Jackson I am an alumnus of GSW with a bachelor in Marketing and a MBA in Management. I am in my second year as the Director of Residence Life. In this role I serve as the supervisor of all campus housing. I also serve as the co-advisor of CAB and SGA. In my free time I love shopping, reading, and hanging out. My favorite quote is 3 will keep a secret if 2 of them are dead. |
