The CRA-W and the Coalition to Diversify Computing (CDC) along with the School of Computing and Mathematics at Georgia Southwestern State University sponsored the Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS) to encourage women and minorities to pursue graduate education in computer science and engineering on April 3, 2009. The DLS brings prominent faculty and industry researchers to campuses to encourage women and minorities to attend graduate school. Dr. Brian Blake from Georgetown University and Dr. Xiaolan Zhang from IBM were the speakers at the event. Please click here to learn more about the speakers. GSW Students along with student from Albany State University and Fort Valley State University attended the event.
