Message from the Dean

 I am pleased to be able to present the following information about the School of Computing and Mathematics our mission, our people, academic programs, student and alumni organizations, publications, and a variety of special activities.

We are proud of our programs and our students and alumni. The School’s alumni are employed by Federal and State Governments, High and Middle Schools in the State of Georgia, Dell, NCR Corporation, Emory University, Northrop Grumman, Total Systems, Avaya, Aflac, Kaneva, Marine Corps Logistics Base, etc.  Several graduate students have been admitted to Ph.D. programs. Two students were finalists for the very competitive President's Fellowship National program.

The majority of the school faculty has practical experience.  In the last five years the School received several grants such as: NCR Corporation – $1,600,000, FIPSE - $400,000, NASA – $99,000, Motorola - $250,000.

The School is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in undergraduate and graduate education in computer science, information technology, and mathematics for a multicultural, global environment.
