Internship

What is an Internship?

An internship is an opportunity to work for a semester in a setting that is similar to one where you would like to work after you graduate. In addition to gaining valuable experience, students participating in the University Internship Program also earn academic credit. Internships are designed for juniors and seniors and are only available to students with good academic standing.

The following documents describe the internship program in great detail. Please read through this information thoroughly before asking your advisor about the program.

Applying for an Internship

You must fill out the following documents before you will be allowed to register for the internship program: Placement information and Approval form.  You will also need a letter of support from your internship supervisor on official letterhead that explains who you are working with and what you will be doing for the internship.

Once you begin the internship, use the progress report sheet to keep your faculty supervisor informed of your internship activities.
