  1. GALILEO Databases

ABI/Inform Complete covers business and management topics including company histories, competitive intelligence, and product development.  Topics include advertising, banking, broadcasting, computers, economics, foreign investment, health care, insurance, international trade, management, marketing, public administration, real estate, taxation, telecommunications, and transportation.  The database contains citations and abstracts from over 1,350 U.S.  and international journals and trade magazines from 1971 to the present. Full text, page image, or text + graphics format is available for articles from more than 600 of the most popular and important sources.  1971- .

Business & Industry contains important facts and key events dealing with public and private companies, industries, products and markets for all manufacturing and service industries at an international level.  Approximately 700 trade magazines, newsletters, and general business and international business dailies are covered.  1994- .

Business Dateline covers topics such as agriculture, company profiles, corporate strategies, executive profiles, financial services, high technology, manufacturing, marketing, regional business environments, retailing, and service industries.  The database contains some full-text articles from over 262 sources, including regional publications, press releases, and major newspapers (such as:  the Chicago Sun-Times, the San Francisco Examiner, the Tennessean, the Orange County Register, and the Hartfort Courant).  1985- .

Business Source Premier  provides indexing and abstracts for more than 2400 journals including full text for over 2200 journals.  Topics covered include business, management, economics, finance, banking, and accounting.  Business news magazines and hundreds of scholarly, peer reviewed journals are indexed.  Also included is Wall Street Words, a dictionary of financial terms, linked directly to words within the citations and full text.  1984- .

Computer and Information Systems Abstracts provides citations to articles on software, artificial intelligence, automation, equipment manufacturing and design, system security, imaging systems, robotics, pattern recognition, logic and switching theory, CAD/CAM, computer mathematics, and computer electronics.  1981- .

EconLit contains citations, with abstracts, to articles from more than 400 economics journals.  In addition, subject indexing and abstracts of books and subject indexing of dissertation titles are included.  1969- .

FINDEX  indexes research studies, surveys, and audits for all types of industries.  The entries are divided into twelve broad categories:  basic industries and related equipment; business and finance; construction, materials and machinery; consumer durables; consumer non-durables; data processing systems and electronics; defense and security systems; energy, utilities and related equipment; health care; media and publishing; retailing and consumer services; and, transportation.  The database also provides company profiles for 400 top corporations.  1985- .

Internet & Personal Computing Abstracts covers the use of microcomputers in education, business, industry, and the home.  Citations include abstracts of feature articles, news, columns, programs, product announcements, and product reviews from over 185 computer publications.  1989- .

Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe indexes approximately 5,000 publications, nearly all include full text.  Many types of publications are included: newspapers (in English and many other languages), legal news, general interest magazines, medical journals, trade publications, company financial information, transcripts, wire service reports, government publications (such as the federal case law, U.S. Code, Code of Federal Regulations, Congressional Testimony, etc.), law reviews, and reference works (such as the Forbes Annual Directory, the Official Guide/American Marketplace and the U.S. Global Trade Outlook).  Dates vary.  Not available off campus.

Risk Abstracts coverage encompasses risk arising from industrial, technological, and environmental sources with an emphasis on assessment and management. Topics include disaster preparedness and crisis management, nuclear safety, occupational hazards, pollution, radiation exposure, transportation and storage of hazardous materials, seismic risk evaluation, smoking and alcohol use, asbestos exposure, radon, and human health issues.  1990- .

Wilson Business Index provides indexing to articles in 350 English-language business magazines.  Topics covered include accounting, advertising, communications, computer, economics, finance, government regulation, mergers & acquisitions, personnel, and small business. 1986- .
