We are the Southwest Georgia Writing Project.  Started in 1985, the Southwest Georgia Writing Project is headquartered at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia.  The Contact Person is Dr. Peggy Ellington of Georgia Southwestern State University.  The SWGWP is dedicated to instructing teachers in southwest Georgia on the fine art of writing.  Part of the National Writing Project, the SWGWP is one of six writing project sites in Georgia.
