Computer Science

Southwestern’s School of Computer and Information Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Computer Science is the study of algorithms, including their formal and mathematical properties, hardware realizations, linguistic realizations, and applications. A Computer Science degree requires 32 hours of Computer Science classes in addition to the regular core curriculum. This department also offers an 11 hour minor. Students majoring in this degree program can look forward to a challenging and fulfilling career in Computer Science upon graduation, as this field is continually growing and changing.
