Southwestern has a rich tradition of commitment to the fine arts. At GSW, students can work towards either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Students learn through hands-on experiences under the supervision of experienced faculty. A foundation of the arts is the basis for every art degree at Southwestern. Graduates will be well-versed in many of the art concentrations – drawing, sculpting, photography, graphic design, glass blowing, and pottery. Class sizes are small with an average of 8 to 12 students. Students receive as much faculty help as they desire. All full time students within the ceramics program are eligible for a variety of department wide scholarships awarded each year. |
