Dr. Kendall Blanchard - President

Dr. Blanchard assumed the presidency of Georgia Southwestern in July of 2007. He is responsible for the overall administration and direction of the University. He has served as president of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Col. and has held administrative positions at Lamar University, Emporia State University and Middle Tennessee State University. He completed his bachelor's degree in English, history and philosophy at Olivet Nazarene College in Kankakee, Ill. Dr. Blanchard holds a Ph.D. and master's degree, both in anthropology, from Southern Methodist University. He also earned a master of divinity degree in religion studies from Vanderbilt University and has done a year's post-doctoral at Johns Hopkins University. His academic interests are in the areas of the anthropology of sport, the anthropology of education, and business ethics. |
II. Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty
Dr. Brian U. Adler

Dr. Adler took office as Georgia Southwestern's VPAA June 1, 2008. He is responsible for oversight of the academic programs and policies of the University. In that regard, Adler serves as the chief academic, and the deans of each individual school report directly to his office. Adler served as the dean of the Graduate School at Valdosta State University from 2005 until the present. Prior, he served as administrative head of VSU's Philosophy and Religious Studies Department (Spring and Summer 2004) and director of the Honors Program. A position he held from 1994 to 2004. Adler earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina in 1978, a Master of Arts in English from the University of Georgia in 1984 and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Tennessee in 1988. |
III. Vice President for Business & Finance
W. Cody King

Mr. King came to Georgia Southwestern in 1996 as director of Accounting Services before serving as comptroller from 2000-2007. He filled the roll of Vice President in August of 2007. In addition to his work in the office of Business and Finance, King taught courses in managerial, cost and tax accounting. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Georgia Southwestern College and his master's degree in business administration from Albany State University. |
IV. Vice President for Student Affairs
Dr. Samuel T. Miller

Dr. Miller came to GSW June 2000. Responsible for the general welfare of students, as well as providing leadership for various departments that provide critical services to students and other constituencies. Prior to coming to GSW, other professional experience was gained at Mississippi State, Penn State, and Temple universities. Education includes the following degrees: Ph. D. in Student Development in Higher Education M. Ed. in Student Development in Higher Education B.A. in Psychology. Hobbies/interests include tennis and racquetball |

Dr. Gaye S. Hayes

Gaye Hayes came to GSW in 1991 to work in the Division of Student Affairs. Hayes was appointed to the lead role in Admissions in 2003. She was named the University's first Vice President of Enrollment Management in March 2009 which governs over the Office of Admissions and Registrar's Office. Hayes earned a Bachelor of Science in political science from GSW, a master's degree in college student personnel from the University of Georgia and Ph.D. from Georgia State University in educational policy studies. |
VII. Athletic Director
Ms. Jaclyn Kaylor

Jaclyn Kaylor arrived at GSW in 2004 as the head athletic trainer, a role she carried until summer 2007 when she was named associate athletic director. In November of 2008 Kaylor was appointed athletic director. She earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Science in kinesiology and health promotion from the University of Kentucky. |
VIII. Director of Human Resources
Ms. Janet L. Siders

Janet L. Siders joined the University as Director of Human Resources and Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity Officer May 2, 2005. She has more than 20 years of training, employee relations and human resources experience, including service at Collins & Aikman in Americus, where she worked as Human Resources manager for seven years. Previously, she served in human resources, employee relations and training for Prudential Capital Group, Prudential Healthcare and Prudential Asset Management Co. Siders holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Livingston College at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. |
