gswID#

Welcome to the gswID# information web site. This site has been designed to provide current information to the Georgia Southwestern State University community concerning the use of the new gswID#.

Georgia Southwestern State University does not use Social numbers as a primary way to identify GSW constituents; instead, a unique identifier called the gswID# is assigned to each member of the GSW community. The gswID# will be used across all systems, applications, and many business processes throughout the lifetime of an individuals association with the University. This step is critical in the continuing efforts to reduce the risk of identity theft for the campus community. Certain campus offices, including but not limited to the Financial Aid Office and the Business Office, will continue to use the Social Security number to meet specific federal, state and local requirements.
