AMERICUS (April 3, 2013)--“The American War in Vietnam: Still One More Lesson to Learn!” is the title of Georgia Southwestern State University’s (GSW) Third World in Perspective Seminar Wednesday, April 10. The session begins at 6:30 p.m. in GSW’s Education Center, Room 100.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend this free event.

The seminar will feature presentations by two nationally-known experts on U.S. foreign policy in Southeast Asia: James T. Gillam, Ph.D., professor of history, Spelman College; and William P.Head, Ph.D., chief historian, 78 Air Base Wing Office of History at Robins Air Force Base.

Gary Kline, Ph.D., professor and chair of the GSW Department of History and Political Science, will moderate the panel and serve as discussant. Kline is an expert on Third World development.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Department of History and Political Science, the GSW Foundation, Inc., the GSW Office of Continuing Education, and the Association of Third World Studies, Inc.
