Isaacs edits Spring 2013 Journal of Third World Studies

AMERICUS (June 28, 2013)—Harold Isaacs, Ph.D., professor emeritus of history at Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW), has edited “Winds of Change: Crisis and Critique in the Third World,” the Spring 2013 issue of “Journal of Third World Studies” (JTWS). The Journal is published by the Association of Third World Studies, Inc. (ATWS).

The 310 page volume contains selected papers presented at the 30th annual meeting of ATWS at Berry College, Oct. 11-13, 2012. Contents include peer-reviewed articles, book reviews, and book review essays authored by scholars who are internationally-known experts in their respective fields.

Since 1984, when the bi-annual scholarly periodical was founded by Isaacs, ATWS has published 60 issues of JTWS for a worldwide readership of scholars, practitioners in the area of Third World development, U.S. and foreign government officials, and employees of non-governmental organizations. Hardcopy subscriptions are sent to 52 countries and the JTWS is accessible on the internet.
