GSW T-shirts go to first 25 students who trade in shirt from another school

AMERICUS (Aug. 19, 2013)—Georgia Southwestern State University will be celebrating College Colors Day this year on Thursday, Aug. 29.

To commemorate, representatives from GSW Athletics and University Relations will be set up in in Java City inside the Marshall Student Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The following items/activities will be offered:

• T-shirt swap – The first 25 students to donate a T-shirt from another college or university will be given a T-shirt promoting GSW.

• Pictures with Surge – GSW’s mascot, Surge, will be on hand for individual and group pictures, handshakes or hugs - whichever you prefer.

• Soccer schedules – GSW soccer players will be handing out schedules for both the women’s and men’s upcoming season.

• Other GSW giveaways will be handed out while supplies last.

College Colors Day seeks to celebrate and promote the traditions and spirit that make college great by encouraging fans, alumni, and students to wear apparel from Georgia Southwestern throughout the day Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013.
