AMERICUS (March 27, 2012)—The Campus Activities Board (CAB) at Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) had an excellent showing at the Southeast Region meeting of the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities (APCA) recently in Jacksonville, Fla.
Georgia Southwestern CAB won first place for Graphics, Regional Programming Board, and Josh Curtin won Advisor of the Year. The APCA Southeast Region consists of colleges and universities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
GSW CAB consists of co-advisors Josh Curtin of Leesburg and Darcy Bragg of Americus and seven student-members, including John Fisher, president from Parrot; Kina Davis, CAB public relations from Tifton; Curtis Jefferies, programmer from Stone Mountain; Tasheria Nix, programmer from Albany; Harvey Penn, programmer from Rome; Kimberly Sellers, graduate assistant from Dothan, Ala.; and Queron Wynne, programmer from Atlanta.
The GSW Campus Activities Board coordinates student events and activities on campus throughout each school year.
