On behalf of the Student Government Association I would like to Welcome you to our University and to our Page. I will be serving as SGA President for the Fall Semester 2011. For those of you who may not know what the Student Government Association is, it is a student organization made up of individuals selected and appointed to represent the voices of the student body. The purpose of SGA is to open the eyes of the students and have them realize that their voice really does matter and can be heard. All of our meetings are open to the public and take place every Thursday at 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd Floor of the Student Success Center in the Conference Rooms. Our university is vastly growing year by year and continues to attract some of the sharpest minds across the state of Georgia and country. We are an institution built on academics, athletics, campus involvement, and involvement within our community. We are a very diverse university and proudly proclaim to be one of the most affordable 4 year institutions in the state. We have numerous amounts of student organizations that embark on many activities around the university and surrounding community. However, academics is and should be your number one priority here at GSW, so I applaud you in advance for your academic achievements at this great institution.
