Online Options

Southwestern understands the needs of transfer students. Offering online options is one way Southwestern can better cater to our transfer students who have working and family responsibilities. We offer online degrees in the business and nursing areas, providing students meet the admission criteria. Southwestern also offers a variety of core classes online

Business - Management, Human Resource Management, and Accounting

Students who have completed an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts degree in Business may complete the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in the areas of Management, Human Resource Management, and Accounting entirely online. Southwestern also offers collaborative programs with several 2-year/state colleges. Students attending through these campuses will have the added convenience of an on-site advisor. Other students will have an advisor assigned through Southwestern's campus in Americus.

Nursing - RN to BSN

Students who have completed their Associates of Science in Nursing, passed the certification exams to become a Registered Nurse, and who are currently working as an RN at a hospital may complete their Bachelors of Science in Nursing online with Southwestern. Recognizing the barriers that RNs face in terms of employment demands, travel time, and family responsibilities, the program has been designed to allow full-time or part-time study, flexibility in the sequencing of courses, and options to complete the nursing courses online. The clinical skills are completed and certified by approved supervisor at a student's current hospital. Students must apply and be accepted to Southwestern before applying by a separate application to the School of Nursing. Requirements for the RN to BSN program can be found HERE.
