Public Health Nurse & Certificates

Public Health Nurse

RN public health nurses have the opportunity to refresh their skills and knowledge by taking NURS 3200 Health Assessment without applying and being accepted to the School of Nursing.  This course is taught each spring and fall.

RNs wanting to take the course must apply and be accepted to the university.

The first step is to apply to GSW as a “pre-nursing” RN-BSN and be accepted by the university.

GSW Admission: Please visit the Office of Admissions website at
http://gsw.edu/Admissions/index.

Some RNs who have taken this course during their public health careers have decided to continue on with their education in pursuit of their BSN.  At that time, they do apply to the School of Nursing as a part of the RN-BSN Program.

We will be glad to answer any questions you have about this opportunity.
