Victor Pinones-Haltenhoff - President

Victor Pinones-Haltenhoff is a senior getting business marketing degree, this is his second time on SIFE active member and also SIFE president 2011 , SIFE is a organization that help him to develop leadership skill in every aspect in his career. He's also a tennis player for GSW in the number 1 spot last 2 years. He expect to find a job within all the SIFE affiliates.

Harvey Penn - Vice President

Harvey Penn is a sophomore SIFE member majoring in Accounting. He is a new promising member of SIFE, joining the program in January 2010. Upon Graduation he plans to work in the field of Private or Public Accounting. He plans to continue his studies and become a CPA. In addition to Accounting, Harvey has great leadership skills. He can also organize well, and he is very creative. He is always looking for new ways to improve any project or work he is involved in. Although not fluent, he speaks many languages which include Spanish and a few African dialects.

Sylvia Elkins - Secretary

Sylvia Elkins is a Senior SIFE member majoring in accounting. She currently has a GPA of 3.7. She plans to one day work as a CPA. Her collegiate honors consist of 2008-09 PBC Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholar, 2009-10 GSW Scholar Athlete Award, 2009-10 PBC Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholar, and the recipient of the James G. Deriso scholarship for academic excellence. She is an active member of Sigma Alpha Pi for leadership and success, vice president for FCA (fellowship of Christian Athletes) active member of Alpha Lambda Delta, and Gamma Beta Phi. Her goal for SIFE is to empower the community and be able to have a positive impact on the lives of others.

William Johnston - Treasurer

William Johnston is a graduating senior majoring in Business Management. This is currently his first year in SIFE and cannot be more excited about the enjoyment it brings him. After graduating this May, Michael plans on moving back towards Atlanta and finding a job with a credit union or corporation. He also is looking into his options for his MBA and, when possible, is hoping to get accepted into the Terry College of Business Program.

SeDale McGee-Jones

SeDale McGee-Jones has been a SIFE member since the fall semester of 2010. He hails from New Jersey and is in his senior year, majoring in Business Marketing. SeDale received his Associates Degree in Arts at the Junior College of Alabama Southern Community College. He was a member of the SSS (student support service) and received academic honors as well as the award of Best Attitude while a scholar athlete in the Men¡¯s basketball program. SeDale then transferred to Georgia Southwestern on a full athletic scholarship. As a student athlete, SeDale earned academic honors and was named to the Presidents List. After his eligibility, he assisted the Sports Marketer of GSW during collegiate competitions. After graduation, SeDale plans on earning an internship to get field experience and to be better equipped to land long term employment. Later down the line, SeDale plans on starting a small business as well as a recreation center to give inner city kids and/or kids in need an outlet and stable support.

Rebekah E. Tate

Rebekah E. Tate is a third year marketing major at GSW originally from Doerun, GA. She's currently on the Dean's List and a member of Sigma Alpha Pi. She's looking forward to graduating with a Bachelors degree of Business in Marketing in May of 2012.

Rachael Oliver

Rachael Oliver is a MBA Student at GSW and will graduate spring 2011. She also obtained a BA in Psychology from GSW in 1999. She has worked as Coordinator for an organization called Family Connection for the past 8 years using strategic planning, community collaboration, grant writing and resource development to help her community improve the results for its families and children. She is President of her local Kiwanis Club and holds positions on several boards including the Workforce Investment Board Youth Council, Ft. Valley State University's Head Start Policy Council and the Literacy Council of Macon County. She is certified to teach the Money Smart program from the FDIC. She also coordinates the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site in her county and is a volunteer IRS certified tax preparer and filer. Her future plans include development of her own non-profit organization focusing on issues related to women and children.

Ming Cheng

Ming Cheng, comes from China. She is an exchange student from Shaanxi Normal University. She is a second semester member of SIFE. She is set to graduate May 2011, and will acquire two master degrees. One from Shaanxi Normal University for economics and the other from GSW for MBA. She plans to find a job in the banking field. SIFE gave her a lot of chances and experiences to communicate with society and she met many really good students in SIFE and learned a lot from them.

Xiaobo Wu

Xiaobo Wu is a first year SIFE member who is working on his MBA. He will graduate in the coming May. He got his bachelor's degree from Shanghai Ocean University in Logistics Management. Currently he is taking some undergraduate accounting courses as he want to change his area into accounting after he get this MBA. Xiaobo hopes to gain another master's degree in accounting and he pursuit of a career in a big CPA firm.

Yini Zhou

Yini Zhou is a first year member in SIFE as a part of presentation team. She is working on her MBA program and got her bachelor degree in Accounting at Shanghai Ocean University, China. She hope applying her skills and knowledge in accounting and managing. She has intern experience in accounting in Shanghai. She felt SIFE helps students build conscious about business.

Wei Luo

Wei Luo has grown up in China. One year ago he first time step on the U.S. territory and after completed two semesters in GSW, this is his last semester in MBA major and first semester in SIFE. He is looking forward to participating in more activities in SIFE and currently serves on the presentation team. His goal is to gain more experience in the business environment. He is proud to be a GSW SIFE member.

 

Veronica McDaniel

Veronica McDaniel is a senior majoring in Art. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Digital Media concentration and Web Design Certificate in May 2011. This is her second semester of being involved with SIFE at Georgia Southwestern State University. She joined SIFE to obtain leadership and business skills because her dream is to open her own photography company upon graduation. She is a part of the 2011 Presentation team and will assist with video editing and photography of different events through out the semester. Veronica has been a member of SUAVE (Strong, United, Assertive, Virtuous, Educated) since Fall 2006 and has held positions as photographer, treasurer, and scrapbook historian. She is also very community service oriented and enjoys helping out where she can with various organizations ¨C Habitat for Humanity, Fuller Center Builders, and Boys & Girls Club. Currently she is a volunteer for the Magnolia Manor Mattie Marshall Dementia Center where she interacts with the residents by doing craft activities with them. She was a photographer's assistant with Harry¡¯s Digital, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia during the summer 2010 to gain hands on insight about the photography business. Upon graduation she plans to secure a job in the graphic design/photography business and obtain her business license for her own photography business.

 

Shannon Johnson

Shannon Johnson is a graduating senior majoring in Human Resource Management. She is the current Hall Director of GSW's Southwestern Oaks Residence Halls. Shannon is also active with other student organizations, including SHRM for students, Peer Educator, as well as the secretary for Georgia Southwestern Black Student Union. She was named to Georgia Southwestern State University 2010 President's List and is currently on the Dean's List. Upon graduating, (May 7, 2011) she plans to re-locate to Minneapolis, Minnesota for a recent intern position with "The Schwan Food Company." With the experience she gains from the her current internship, she hopes to seek a position in employment with an organization she may contribute her prior knowledge of Human Resources.
