Linda Randall

As your First Year Advocate, it is my job to serve you!  I am here to help make sure that you have a smooth transition during your first year of college.  No question is too big or too small for me!  Please feel free to contact me, and I'll do my best to help you out however possible or point you in the right direction.

I am certain to help with:

  • Linking with Resources
  • Advising and Registration
  • Meeting with ALL Freshmen Students
  • Parents

I can also assist you with:

  • Study Skills
  • Time Management
  • Problem Solving
  • Signing up for tutoring
  • Listening and exploring options

Linking with Resources:

Students come to me as a "starting point" when they need help with a certain situation.  I will do my best to link them up with the proper resources in order to ensure that their needs are met while at GSW.

Advising and Registration:

I am always available to help all freshmen students when it comes time for advisement and registration.  All students will meet with an assigned advisor, but I am available for support as well.

Meeting with:

Over the first semester, I will be readily available to meet with each new freshmen student to ensure that he/she is making a smooth transition in the new college environment.

Parents:

I can also be a point of contact for parents. I can help parents with any concerns they are having regarding their student's academics, or if a parent just has a general question and does not know where to start.
