Academic Computer Lab

The Academic Resource Center Computer Lab provides state of the art computers equipped with the latest version of Windows and Microsoft Office for academic use.  Two Laserjet printers afford high quality printing; and the student friendly staff puts forth every effort to ensure an environment that is conducive for learning.

Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction

Peer tutoring and Supplemental Instruction are programs which seek to improve the quality of academic life for students.

 

Study Cubicles

Eight study cubicles provide ideal space for independent study or one-on-one tutoring.  Students may connect laptops or other devices to the internet with wireless connection.

 

Math Tutoring Center

A Math Tutoring Center provides students an opportunity to receive walk-in tutoring for many math courses up to Calculus II.  The Math Tutoring Center is located in Room 120 of the Academic Resource Center and  is open during the same hours as the ARC, which are 8:00 am—8:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 am—3:00 pm Friday.  

 

Room Reservations

 
The Academic Center for Excellence has rooms available to be reserved by faculty, staff, organizations, Supplemental Instruction Leaders, Tutors, and Study Group leaders.  To reserve a room, a Room Reservation Form must be completed and turned into the Academic Resource Center at least three days before the date of event.   The contact person listed on the form will be notified through email of approval and a copy of the approved request will be attached to the email.  The form may be obtained and completed at the Academic Resource Center, or here
