Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) indicate the measurable effects of the Windows to the World QEP.
GSW will provide a broad cultural and geographic learning environment designed to empower students as life-long learners with the ability to adapt to new environments, pursue professional growth, and engage in lifelong learning.
The following student learning outcomes (SLOs) will be assessed:
1. SLO from the GSW General Education Outcomes
a) Students will be able to articulate factual and conceptual knowledge concerning historical and societal dynamics within the United States. (US Perspective Overlay)
b) Students will be able to articulate factual and conceptual knowledge concerning worldwide societal dynamics. (Global Perspective Overlay)
c) Students will be able to understand cultural differences. (Institutional Option Area B)
2. Students will demonstrate improved attitudes towards seeking opportunities for professional, personal, and social growth in their own communities and beyond.
3. Students will develop an awareness of current and global geography.
